Adidas Brainwash T-Shirt
Adidas Brainwash T-Shirt in White. Made from medium weight cotton and featuring a photographic print on the chest of adidas team rider and iconic skateboarder Mark Gonzales, this t-shirt is a replica of the design made and worn by ‘the Gonz’ in 1986 for a magazine interview. Offering a piece of history in modern times, the design shows a photo of young Gonzales with hand written ‘Brainwash Victim’ text below in black. The curved neckline has a flexible ribbed trim whilst the body and short sleeves have straight cut hems for a clean finish and the famous ‘Shmoo’ emblem also created by Gonzales can be seen on the left sleeve for additional character.
Mark Gonzales is perhaps best known for his impact upon the skate industry during the 1990’s and is now an established artist based in New York City who follows his own paths and ideas when it comes to artistic expression across a variety of mediums. Known as the pioneer of modern street skateboarding, Gonzales was named the ‘most influential skateboarder of all time’ by Transworld Skateboarding magazine in 2011 and continues to collaborate with adidas for seasonal collections of apparel and special edition footwear.
